Meet the Artist
     Kathy Wallis has been painting for over thirty years. She uses a variety of mediums, but prefers watercolors. Kathy loves to paint landscapes and seascapes, especially lighthouses and scenes of the Gulf Coastal area.She began painting mini pictures in oils with Anne Hunter in Talladega, AL. Next she took lessons with Sarah Whitson of Talladega, AL in pastels, oils, and acrylics. Kathy studied watercolors with Wayne Spradley of Pell City, AL. Along with participating in various art workshops, she has and continues to study with other well-known artists, such as Margrete Vause of Panama City, FL in watercolors; and Don Taylor of Panama City, FL in watercolors. Kathy is a member of various professional art organizations, including The Southern Watercolor Society, The Visual Art Center of Panama City,FL, The Panama City Artists, "Sarah's Girls" in Talladega, AL and other art groups. It has always been Kathy's dream to"move to the beach and paint". She now lives in the panhandle of Florida and is working on her dream and other projects.
